Traffic Flow

  • Please be advised traffic control will not permit any left-hand turns heading westbound on Thomas to enter our campus.
  • Please use 35th, 43rd, or 51st Ave to head eastbound on Thomas to enter onto our campus.

Product Loading

  • Product will be loaded directly into the vehicle by SMFB staff/volunteers
    • Please remain in your vehicle at all times
    • For those coming in vehicles, the product may be loaded into the trunks only, please ensure the trunk is clear as there will be plenty of product provided.

What will I potentially be receiving?

  • Holiday meat
  • Produce
  • Non-perishable items
  • Bread

If you are walking/using public transportation, be advised to bring a cart to transport your food as it may be heavy.

Caseworkers

  • Please bring ID badge indicating which organization you are representing.
  • You can pick up for a limit of five families per visit.
  • There will not be a special line designated for social workers; please use the general line.
  • You MUST bring the Proxy form that is completed by each family that you will be picking up for.

Questions about proxies and neighbor food pick-ups

  • St. Mary’s Food Bank (SMFB) allows a proxy to be any of the following:
    • Case manager/worker/aid
    • Home care nurse
    • Community liaison
    • Social worker
    • School staff
  • Proxies may pick up for (5) neighbors at a time per visit (multiple visits may occur each day if necessary):
    • No more than (2) authorized proxies per vehicle
      • (5) neighbor pick-ups per proxy, no exceptions
    • Clients do not have to be present for the authorized proxy to pick up for the client, nor is any client identification required
    • Proxies MUST have the original application fully filled out and signed by each client they are picking up each time, no exceptions
      • The proxy document must be the original document that has the client’s signature, no photocopies or electronic versions
    • Proxies must have an issued badge indicating that they are an authorized representative for the organization
