St. Mary’s Food Bank partners with over 700 organizations throughout Arizona that run food pantries to provide free food to communities in need. Food pantries come in many sizes and vary in what programs they offer. These passionate organizations include non-profits, churches, schools, and government agencies. Take a look at the map below to locate a free food pantry in your area.

Our food distribution centers operate federally funded programs to help supplement the diets of those in need by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. To receive government product (TEFAP or CSFP), you must show proof of address and identification. Please review the document below to review your rights to privacy and prepare for your visit to a food pantry.

2024 Holiday Distributions

St. Mary’s Food Bank will be hosting holiday distributions at our Neighborhood Food Centers in both Phoenix and Surprise on Monday, November 25th from 8 am to 12 pm, Tuesday, November 26th from 8 am to 12 pm, and Wednesday, November 27th from 8 am to 11 am. Arizona ID is required and must be present to receive food.

Our food pantries welcome you and are dedicated to providing assistance without any barriers. We kindly ask that you bring proof of identity with you each time you visit. If your photo ID does not reflect your current address, please also bring a document such as a utility bill or lease agreement, that shows your current address. If you are experiencing homelessness, be sure to know the cross-streets or location where you stay at night. The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
TEFAP helps supplement the diets of low-income individuals by providing them with emergency food at no cost. Participants can receive an Emergency Food Box for their household at least once a month at participating pantries. When you get to the site, you will be asked to provide your name, address, date of birth, household size, and confirm that you meet the current income eligibility.
The Commodity Senior Food Program (CSFP)
The Commodity Senior Food Program (CSFP)
CSFP enhances the health of low-income individuals aged 60 and older by providing a monthly package of nutritious food at no cost. Due to limited availability, new applicants may be placed on a waitlist. When you arrive at a participating site, you will be asked to provide your name, address, date of birth, household size, and to confirm that you meet the current income eligibility.
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
SFSP is a government-supported meal program that offers USDA approved meals to children and teenagers from low-income families when school is out. Click the link below to locate a SFSP site in your area. Please note that these sites are only open during the summer months.
Child Nutrition Programs
Child Nutrition Programs
The Child Nutrition programs at St. Mary’s Food Bank, such as Kids Cafe and Backpack, ensure children receive nutritious meals. We collaborate with schools, community centers, health clinics, and local groups to offer free meals after school and on weekends when school is not in session.
Donated Product
Donated Product
Donated product is received from generous individuals, community groups, stores, farmers, and manufacturers and passed along to food pantries across the state to distribute to their local community. There are no restrictions on age or income, but an ID may be required based on a pantry’s discretion.
Congregate Meals
Congregate Meals
Commercial kitchens that prepare and serve ready-to-eat meals to all individuals in need of food assistance. There are no restrictions on age or income, but an ID may be required based on a pantry’s discretion.
